Our latest guest lecture was delivered by Scottish Music industry legend Brendan Moon.
Brendan is currently the managing director of his own business Morsecode Management Ltd, an arts and events management company and recording studios based in Hillington. Throughout his career, Brendan has worked in several sectors of the music and entertainment industries including event creation, live events, PR and artists and social media management. As a music manager, his biggest success was discovering Paolo Nutini, he has overseen 20 major recording and publishing contracts.
Signed to five major record labels from the age of 19 until 30 years old, Brendan performed as a musician all over the world and was a session musician in Paris for the last two years of his professional music career before moving on to music and arts management.
Brendan's extensive CV includes a 10 year stint as the Head of Radio and Promotions Department at Mercury Records / Universal Music London and an executive position at DF Concerts.
Our students listened intently to Brendan as he described his incredible career and experiences within the industry and had the opportunity to ask him questions at the end of the lecture.
